Packed van yesterday, but needless to say last minutes preps to us awhile.
Last night the camera in the conservatory failed, after resets and switching on off we decided to return, printed slip and all boxed ready for the post office this morning.
Whilst dropping the parcel off discovered the electoral forms for the flat and house in Bicester, these needed competeling and sending off.
Realised hot tub had not been emptied but had been switched off, so that needed draining.
Already to go, but no answer from Versailles campsite, so decided to ring and check in the ACSI price, booked 2 nights 40euro. Then had to book Versailles 40euro and a couple of guided tours 20euro. Still will be nice to see the palace and the King’ s chambers etc..
Set off about 10:45, good journey to tunnel no hold up but M26 awful concrete road.
Received a call from HMG Law, saying received contract and transfer docs for Kestrel Way and could we sign them. Got them to email them, when we arrived at the tunnel terminal we noticed a post box so bought stamps and an envelope, returned to van to print doc and then realised we needed a witness. Wandered around the masses of van parked up, more than we have ever seen, to find a suitable approachable person to witness our signatures. Couple in a PVC look up at the wrong time and very generously agreed to witness out signatures. Docs were bagged and popped straight in to the post box so should be with HMG by Thursday. One step forward.
Although we were booked into 15:20 the timings were brought toward and when were the last van in a train that left at 15:05.
Arrived in France about 1635 and decided to head towards Neufchatel en Bray, long journey as sadly after a short bridge crossing we discovered we are now class 3, shall query this at some point. Aire full, tried Mesinere en Bday also full, now camped on our own at
