Arrived in Potes the first park up was full so booked 2nd choice in advance online, the route to the aire was obscured by closed roads a fair and other such stuff, ended up driving through the town 3 times to get the right turn.
When we did arrive the plate recognition did not work, rang the number, no English rude meets no Spanish irritated. Eventually we got innit get and a crap review heading their way.The park up is ok and Potes is a lovely small touristy town loads of menu del dia, and tat shops.
Not the most successful day but it was interesting and as eventful as I like it.

Teleférico Fuente Dé, on Wednesday 16th Sept 26

Finally, they let us off the ferry and we really sailed through border control and customs.

Our first planned stop was a supermarket for some bits, picked a Carrefour in Torrevelaga(?), but everything was closed, turns out it’s a public holiday 😬.

Still, not vital, so continued to the Fuente Dé, via the Hermida Gorge, it’s a lovely drive pretty easy just a tad slow. Arrived at the left for the Pico summit 30€ each return, assistant at ticket office said are sure as it’s a bit cloudy up there. So decided against it, had a coffee and lunch, thought about staying overnight (free) but decided to go to Potes.

Journey foul, A34 closed around Winchester, long queues and bad diversion. Google got all the closed roads wrong, CoPilot worked like a dream.

Walked to pub, met a ford too deep so had to backtrack, arrived at pub, sorry full and we have no free tables so you’ll have to sit outside with your well earned beer. Waited 20 minutes asked again table now available after all no wait 😏
