Arrived at Peterborough after a reasonable journey nothing special just road works everywhere.

Parked up almost level. Aldi pizza for dinner, tried the new oven trays out, seemed to work well.
The gas is still lasting on the calorlite bottle which was supposed to be empty 2 trips ago, sure there will be a midnight changeover again.
All the Myrtle mates arrived, 8 vans, a cosy meeting in the event shelter planned for later. Everybody very friendly, definitely a theme with these rallies.

- Eric and Julia, new Bailey van, very cosy Alde heating.
Great night in the Marquee, bit cold but had a great time, gradually dwindled down to myself, Alan, PaulR and Gary, eventually at 23:45 asked to keep the noise down by a lady in the van behind the marquee, PaulR was very good and we all shuffled off to our vans giggling. Â Next morning it was fully agreed that this could not be classed as a complaint more a suggestion and as no further suggestions were forthcoming it was deemed dealt with. Â Paul has invited everybody to his Birthday in June and Malvern and ….
Spent Saturday, walking around the show, bought some tat, new mat, peg puller, fire blanket, had a crap Steak Baguette (why do I always go for the crap?). Â Popped back to van and left Jacqui and Geza, whilst I went and pestered SMC spoke to both Gavin and Alistair (god he’s miserable), apparently somebody once took the shirt off his packed and he has never forgotten it! Â Spoke about Delivery, they iterated no dates but week 16 Build starts, takes 5 weeks so Week 21 goes to Quality Control, then shipped over to SMC then prepped by them 1 week. Â In theory van should be ready no later than mid June.
Sun came out and a bit windy, Paul and Kathy were putting up their flag pole, so lended a hand, we then all started considering how to cook food with the wind as it was blowy. Â We settled for the oven in the van, but every one else used a BBQ all had Cadac’s, the PVCs have the small safari’s like us PaulR had the larger model. Â REally nice food in the Marquee, evening though was cold so after a shivery chat we all retired to warm vans.
Took Geza for a walk later and found the MHF marquee, karoke had started and was in full swing recognised a couple of faces but did not stop.
Next day most of us moved on leaving Paul to clear up, bit guilty about that but they seemed very happy.
Good time, not sure about Peterborough show really, bit cold and a bit sparse thought it was supposed to be the big one, will see Myrtle Mates again at Malvern maybe some of them before in June.
