Arrived very early 13:15 at the racecourse, obviously missed the posts about 14:00 arrival no earlier, but all seemed ok with us parking up. We managed to drive on, but it soon became very apparent that we would be needing assistance to get off, as later that evening about 6pm van were having to be towed on.
Evening drinking Gin & Tonic with David and Bev, then stumbled past MicknMews van and invited in to have a night cap with Allan & Loren, which we did. Very funny and lovely to catch up.
Next day Jacqui was a bit delicate so I went off a chatted and walked into Chester had a great Bacon and Sausage Bap. Eventually, Jacqui emerged and we decided she would benefit from some fresh air so I got to walk into Chester again, had a drink and a meal at the Watergate (OK). That eve was a quiz teamed up with MicknMew and Sheila and ????, we did not win, do not think we were last but close.
Early ish night slept very well and awoke refreshed and ready for the challenges of the day, wandered in for something to eat with David and Bev, at the Falcon upstairs food was very good.
Drinks in the even and a relatively early night.
Sunday we went to food festival, not very good, seemed much smaller, turns out we missed a largish section of Stalls inside somewhere, still seemed a bit average, not a patch on Blenheim.
When we got back we packed the van up as could see the Tractor guy was helping lots of people move and decided that we would move if the opportunity presented itself. It did so we moved, we could have stayed another night but the thought of heavy rain put us off, and we were blocking the hardstanding area. So we bid our farewells and made a move, easy journey home
