2022/05/01, day 29, Camping Diana Ancient Olympia

Stopped as to Olympia, the ruins and the museum. Glad we went but not really well presented. Knossos much better.

Why? Everything old needs a thorough update pitches facilities, services.

Apparently one of the best campsites in Greece. So far so good, nice beach good facilities, interesting pitches, 20€ ACSI.

2022/04/21, day 19, The Lake Restaurant

Left Montenegro and entered Albania, no internet although Giffgaff 20p/mb.

Having downloaded offline maps for p4n, Acsi etc we could find stops.

We tried a few stops on the way near the beach but unmade, rather unfinished roads and no other vans put us off, such wusses. It was still quite early and light, but we saw very few other motorhomes in Albania.

Found via p4n, a stop with restaurant near a lake, we did not want a meal but felt obligated as they look closed and then opened up when we parked up. Interesting meal, with sour cream, deep fried battered bread, Greek salad, feta, oiled bread, bifsteca, and lamb, med wine and a few beers 28€

Toilet disgusting wee everywhere men and women’s , but we ate well and it is a lovely setting. Good find.

2022/04/22, day 20, Archeologikos Choros Orraon

Very quiet night loads of frogs, digs barking and a railway line but all stopped

23c at 9:00

Crossed out of Albania and into Greece border was busy and we got a stamp for some reason.

Albania today was quick and fairly easy, we seemed to follow a river the bed if which must limestone as dusty grey and loads of quarry and concrete producers.

Croatia Bosnia to Montenegro
Bridge turned out to be ferry
No internet
Car accident at least 2 hours waiting

2022/04/19, day 17, Camp Pod Maslinom

Left the paklvenica site which was lovely but only 4 or 5 on pitches with a view

Crossed into Bosnia stopped briefly and then left as although free and motorhome it was very unloved. Found another stop at a closed restaurant but at side of road and very exposed.

Then we left Bosnia, found another near a bridge was ok but road noise and not a signed stop.

Driving much easier as autostrada this time.

Island views better not so barren more trees etc…

Found a site cheap with ACSI, looked at a camper area but as the review said campsite prices, Aire facilities and odd owners.

We have found a great sites lovely terraced pitches everything easy to use. Views but tedious access. For some reason am more relaxed here, I think it is the environment and the olive trees?
