The previous evening we had picked out sites and Aires in Blaye, Montendre and

MH facilities at Rouge Gorge crap, just rubbish, everything is there but rundown
and rubbish, compared to Aires and other sites even UK is better.

ACSI site chosen we set off ignored the Route barree in 5.5 km as we were
turning off in 5.5 km but as we discovered their 5.5km was less than our and we

Rouge Gorge, day 4

6.6.16 Rouge Gorge

Awoke and decided nice sunny day so decided to stay also moved the van to make
better use of the pitch and the sun. Most people left this day and the site
although not empty was sparsely populated. We walked into the Town and saw the
Minor Basillica built in 1888. Beer and Coffee or 2 in the Le Refuge bar behind
the basillica. We met and got speaking with a couple from the same site been
there for 4 days leaving tomorrow, nothng special just a pleasnt couple been
comming to FRance for years for 6 weeks at a time and still have little or no
French, no wonder the French despair of our inability.

Couple more walks around the lakes etc…

the card wanted some value, Jacqui picked out 2 this being a method have plan A
and plan B, I checked out the Aires and picked a couple just in case. WE had
wanted to go via Angers but the Sites and Aires left us uninspired and we
